    2025 B9.5 RS5 Tuning Backdoor

Just starting this thread for those interested in tuning their B9.5 RS5. I attempted the 034 motorsports tune and my dealer told me the ECU is locked. I reached out to 034 and posted on reddit and both APR and 034 confirmed as of today there are no confirmed hacks to get through. 034 suggested the OBDeleven device to attempt the SFD2 unlock but unfortunately that did not work. APR reached out and noted that if the OBD11 didnt work it would likely require ODIS which is hard to come by and usually just available though dealers... If anyone has any ideas or has successfully done this please let me know. Thanks

just gotta give it time. tuning companies will eventually break the ecu. buying a brand new model you gotta know tuning may not be supported yet. at the risk of bricking your ecu, i recommend you wait for the professionals to take care of it.

Not to mention ditching your warranty right off the lot. Sometimes an issue or two will pop up once you get it broken in a bit. Unless money is no object, it's not a bad idea to at least wait until you're on the back end of warranty coverage to get some use out of it.

Isn't the 2025 RS5 already has an increased horse power figure? How does that feel? I guess you need more.

Cant speak for how it compares to previous models as this is my first RS but the car has PLENTY of juice. I am just a power whore. Had a 23' M3 comp and from what I remember it felt quicker so I guess I am spoiled. I agree with the previous comment regarding waiting a bit on the tune even if it was available. I've been back and forth quite a bit already but may give the racechip a try. My thoughts on NOT waiting until closer to warranty end is that the B 9.5 is at the end of its generational lifecycle so one would HOPE that most major kinks have been worked out. That being said I do realize that certain cars are just going to have problems and you wont know until you put more miles on it. We shall see. Thanks for the responses
