Hello. I have been trying to get the convertible top to work on my buddy's 2002 Audi TT 1.8L for quite some time. First, we changed the CCM, because along with the top not working, the door locks, gas cap, trunk button, and interior lights also did not work and this was due to water damage. This first module failed to program properly, and we found that something inside the module had burned up (lol?) so we got another CCM and that was able to be programmed successfully using my autel maxisys Ultra. I also have a rosstech vag-com cable but its limited vin so i would like to avoid using it for this unless i have to as its not my car. Now with a 2nd new CCM, everything works, except for the convertible top. I get yellow light on dash for convertible top, and motor does not activate when i press top button, but windows do go down half wag . I suspected the top not working was due to windscreen being jammed, but I did not have time to get into it back the so we parked the car for the winter. 2 months later, today, i started the car and went to check it again. Convertible top still not working, but yellow convertible dash light has turned off as well. I have no power to the switch, either, i do not get any response from the car when i press it, windows no longer go halfway down. I looked at the windscreen and saw the the belt for the rollers snapped, thought thats why convertible wouldn't work, and then was able to get both sides all the way down, but the convertible top still doesn't work. Also, the door lock/unlock switch has a strange malfunction. when the car doors are both closed, the lock/unlock button does not function, and the indicator light turns solid red. When the a door is opened, the button suddenly gains functionality again and locks/unlocks normally. Also, the CCM came with 2 remote fobs that worked 2 months ago to lock and unlock the car, but now they suddenly do not work after the car has done nothing but sit in a garage. I know there is a procedure to relearn the keys, but this involves having 2 blades, and i only have one. So i may be screwed there... Im not sure if these issues are all related but I would assume so. One last thing. Sometimes the red "brake" light on the dash dimly flickers. I've read this indicates a bad ground, but i have no idea where to look. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
