    Traction Light randomly turned on.

Was headed to a hockey game yesterday with my dad and while rolling in highway traffic ~30mph I had my traction light turn on without warning. It's exactly like pressing the the ESP button but I didn't press the ESP button at all... and after the game when back in the car the light was off for the rest of the drive home. I haven't been able to replicate this at all after another long drive today and haven't had the chance to scan with VCDS yet. My first thought is something is up with the ABS system or a sensor but wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this before? Very strange.

Could have been a temporary bad signal from a wheel speed sensor, have had that happen in my Subie a few times when driving in show, etc.
IDK if it can happen on the b7 setup or not, but just a thought.
Have you scanned to see if it threw any codes?

Sorry for the late reply, almost forgot I made this thread.

A few days ago it popped back on the moment I started the car, ran back in the house to grab VCDS and scan it... And nothing. Just a brake light switch code in the ABS module. After scanning and closing the module the TC light went away... I think you're right about it being a temporary wheel speed sensor reading or something. Went back into the module afterwards for the brake light switch code and it cleared. I won't worry about it until it becomes a consistent thing.

Besides, AWD and grippy tires make TC pretty much useless on a sunny day. Not concerned in the slightest as far as safety goes.

A bit more development on the situation...

Floored it getting onto the highway yesterday and ended up popping a charge pipe. Car threw P0101 obviously and wouldn't accelerate anymore but funny enough it didn't trigger a CEL... Instead I had my TC light turn on and off every few seconds until I got to the next exit where I was able to pull into a parking lot and put my charge pipe back on... In the moment I thought I broke an axle or something. 😂 Very strange behavior and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the JHM Stage 2 tune I have in the car. When I was Stage 1 (before PowerConnect cable) I always had an immediate CEL thrown when an intercooler pipe popped... hmmmm....
