Rs5 straight pipe

Looking to straight pipe my RS five I already have AWE downpipe and ECS x pipes, but I would still like to maintain quiet mode going to straight pipe madness. Any advice on how to do this

short answer is you require a valve setup.

some OEM model year have valve in the rear mufflers where the dual quad tip exit gets closed into a dual single tip exit exhaust.

while other have it after center resonator that turn it into a single exit dual tip exit exhaust

aesthetic preference will affect your choice if you want dual rear mufflers or if youre ok with assymetrical look of single rear tailpipe.



i am not sure if there is a CETE module type solution for rs5 that lets you use OEM valves with ecu/mmi integration (opens an closes at certain rpm while not in sportmode)

valvetronic offers quad tip rear mufflers.

IMO use some straight-through type resonators in OE res locations i.e. vibrant ultraquiets and or carven-tr

I don't know if you can keep a straight pipe RS5 quiet, do you intend on keeping the Cats? I have a full JHM 2.75" exhaust with headers (Catless) and it is fairly loud with or without the valves open.

Have you ever heard of an exhaust cutout?

I'm not recommending anything in the link below in particular, I'm just using it as an example of a cutout.
