034Motorsport’s RS+ Adjustable MQB Solid Rear Sway Bar for Audi 8V A3/S3, F3 Q3, 8S TT/TTS Quattro, and Volkswagen MK7/7.5 Golf R, Sportwagen, and Alltrack is now available! The 034Motorsport Adjustable Solid Rear Sway Bar is made from a single piece of high-quality, solid 0.938” thick spring steel for maximum rigidity, and is designed to combat understeer while reducing body roll under hard cornering without negatively impacting comfort.

Why choose the RS+ Rear Sway Bar over our Standard MQB AWD Rear Sway Bar?

Our Standard MQB AWD Rear Sway Bar was designed to provide a neutral handling experience. It reduces understeer while allowing drivers to coax their car into oversteer as desired.

The RS+ Rear Sway Bar ticks things up a notch, providing over 171% stiffer than the factory rear sway bar and an additional 70% stiffness over our Standard MQB AWD Rear Sway Bar. This additional stiffness is great for owners looking to maximize rear end rigidity, turn-in response, and better rotation—further reducing understeer and maximizing handling performance!

    Rate Increase Data:
034Motorsport RS+ vs. Factory Sway Bar
    • 034Motorsport RS+ (Soft) - 144% Rate Increase vs. Factory Audi 8V S3/Mk7 Golf R (22.0mm x 3.0mm) Hollow Rear Sway Bar
    • 034Motorsport RS+ (Stiff) - 171% Rate Increase vs. Factory Audi 8V S3/Mk7 Golf R (22.0mm x 3.0mm) Hollow Rear Sway Bar

034Motorsport Standard MQB AWD Sway Bar vs Factory Sway Bar
    • 034Motorsport Standard MQB AWD Sway Bar (Soft) - 42% Rate Increase vs. Factory Audi 8V S3/Mk7 Golf R (22.0mm x 3.0mm) Hollow Rear Sway Bar
    • 034Motorsport Standard MQB AWD Sway Bar (Stiff) - 70% Rate Increase vs. Factory Audi 8V S3/Mk7 Golf R (22.0mm x 3.0mm) Hollow Rear Sway Bar

The 034Motorsport RS+ Adjustable MQB Rear Sway Bar can be used with or without an upgraded Front Sway Bar. For avid track enthusiasts or those looking for the sharpest cornering, our Front Sway Bar is recommended to be paired with our RS+ Rear Sway Bar upgrade. For those looking for the absolute most rear end rotation, the factory front sway bar should be retained.

034Motorsport Sway Bar Kits feature maintenance-free polyurethane bushings with a Teflon and polyester liner designed to enhance sway bar response speed while minimizing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). This liner also results in an extended service life that allows these bushings to even outlast your vehicle. With no need for additional lubrication, these bushings offer reliable, long-lasting performance without the hassle of regular maintenance and greasing. Built to withstand extreme conditions, the bushings are hydrophobic, heat-resistant up to 500°F, and resistant to water and common automotive chemicals. These bushings are covered by a limited lifetime warranty which covers material cracking, separation of the Teflon liner and polyurethane bushing, or squeaking under normal street or track conditions.

I'm curious to hear more about what the best use case is from the new stiffer bar, compared to the original option.

And with the new even stiffer rear bar, what is 034's position on the need for a front bar as well?

I am running the standard MQB bar on the stiff setting, and regret not doing a front bar at the same time as my other suspension overhaul. Does the new even stiffer RSB require the use of the front?

Our RS+ Sway bar offers additional rotation compared to our existing Rear Sway Bar Upgrade, but if you currently enjoy the way your car handles, then you can leave it as is. But if you want more rotation than you currently have, you should rn our RS+ bar.

If you want more flat handling with your existing setup, then you can pair our front bar with your existing rear bar.

Pairing our RS+ rear bar with our front bar would elevate this handling characteristic further, providing you with a nice flat-handling car while still having more rotation.
