Canadian rs6 purchased in the US

I have validated by a local audi dealer and audi canada that the warranty is intact, you just can't purchase audi care for the vehicle.

Agree. I purchased a Canadian RS6 and confirmed with my local dealer that the warranty is honored. The myAudi app, however, is another story.

I have to agree, took it in the local audi dealer had them remove the front license plate holder and had them work on the audi connect and it still won't allow me to use it.

For those of you who purchased canadian vehicles and live in the US. Have you found a work around for loging into the MMI as a key user. Have been told it's not possible by audi.

Replying to the thread, my factory warranty was up when I purchased my vehicle but was able to buy extended 3rd party warranty through dealer.

I purchased a used RS6 that was originally imported from Canada recently and I had to call Audi Connect to have them set me as the key user. I can use the app to lock the doors and see the location but I can't (and will never be able to) login to the vehicle.

I have been told by other rs6 users that once the vehicle is registered with the state you can call audi connect and they will make it happen.

Audi USA and Canada both confirmed this is not possible due to it being an Audi USA account with a Canadian car. I just setup a local user on the MMI.
The dealership I bought it from says they commonly sell Canadian cars and to use a VPN on my phone to make it look like it's in Canada and try to log in that way. They say they've had success in the past. I have not dug into this too much yet.
I've confirmed with Audi USA, Audi Canada, and my local Audi dealer all say the factory warranty will remain but any prepaid maintenance plans will not. I'm ok with that.
