    New abs pump I fear

So a while ago I got a front left abs sensor fault that would intermittently turn on the abs and traction lights on while turning off my speedometer. I also have like a softlimiter/limp mode of some sort with the other issues. If I try and free rev in neutral or just downshifting at around 33-3500rpm the car starts backfiring and won’t rev any higher but revs out to redline in gear. The gas pedal also feels really sensitive and jerky.

Replaced the sensor and it didn’t fix the issue. I did some research and found k0mpresd old forum which leads me to believe I need a new or repaired abs pump, but in the forums I read I haven’t seen anyone mention the softlimiter I’m dealing with, I’m not sure if they had the issue too and just didn’t mention it or if it’s 2 different problems

I got my friend to scan it a few days ago and it gave me this which makes me think it’s just a wiring issue in the wires that run from the abs sensor harness to the module

00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47)
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47): Electrical Fault in Circuit
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47): Open or Short to Plus
00283 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Left (G47): Signal Outside Specifications

If anyone’s got any input on this I’d love to hear it, thanks!

I just put my thinking cap on and realized the cars getting a limiter around 3400rpm is because that’s what I have my 2 step set to with Motoza so the car just thinks “oh I’m not moving and the clutch is in, he’s trying to 2 step” while I’m driving, so pretty sure I just need the abs pump repaired or replaced which I’ll do after I check the wires to the sensor lol

Ahh, it's not the whole pump that you need to replace or have repaired. It's just the module screwed to the side of it. You can get this module off of the car without removing the whole ABS unit. I chose to drill a hole through the fender liner to get to one of the screws. Some people report not having to do that, but it was easier for me.

After replacing the G47 didn’t fix the issue, I replaced my ABS module w/ a junkyard donor due to intermittent non-functioning speedo, ABS pump, and G47 codes.
If you need to replace it, get yourself this.

Remove Windshield wiper reservoir and you’ll have just enough room.

If you end up needing your module redone, send it to http://www.cheapabs.com/vraudi.html

you can also open it up and look to see if you have any obvious wires lifting off of their pads on the board.
