Golf Alltrack Skid Plate fit Audi 8V A3

Just wanted to share that the MK7 Golf Alltrack skid plate does fit my 2017 A3 quattro.

I ran over a sizeable rock on the highway and it damaged my OEM skid plate and oil pan. Thankfully, I had already swapped the OEM plastic oil pan for a steel one as soon as I got the car.

Originally looked at the ECS street shield, but ended up getting the Golf Alltrack skid plate after seeing how much better the front mounting points are.

ECS customer service told me that the Alltrack skid plate will not fit the Audi MQB cars, but after comparing underbody pictures of the MQB Golf and Audi cars I was convinced that it had to fit.

The front support brackets and every mounting point lines up perfectly, but there are a couple of minor fitment issues:

    1. There is a small gap (1/2") between the front part of the skid plate and the radiator support, but I'm not worried about it.
    2. The rear part of the Alltrack skid plate that bolts up to the 3 existing subframe mounting points line up perfectly, but it rests on my dogbone mount insert. I ended up trimming away this area of the skidplate, but you could also just get some spacers to create space for the dogbone mount.

Had the same fitted to my S3.

I tried it on the RS3 but it doesn`t fit. It nearly fits but there`s a pipe that`s slightly in the way.

I`m sure it could be modded to fit the RS3.

Their street shield that fits my A3 doesn't have a reinforced mounting point in the front like the Alltrack.

I also know that ECS offers a front reinforcement kit for the street shield, but they said that it does not fit the 8V A3.

I'm almost certain that the ECS street shield reinforcement kit probably does fit the A3, but I'll let someone else find out lol
