Help finding part numbers for B9 sport springs

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I bought a B9 A4 a few days ago. Has everything I wanted but the sport suspension. The rear has a full four finger gap and front almost as bad. I live in a rural mountainous area of PA and sometimes have to drive in deep snow. I don't want a full lowering spring but the Sport springs would be just right for me.

Does anyone know how to get the actual part numbers of the sport springs?

What model year / build date ?

What PR code is listed on the vehicle information label (under the rear cargo floor or the maintenance/warranty booklet) for suspension, should be in the last column: 1BA or 1BE ? PR-1BA is standard, while 1BE is sport (static).

For static sport suspension (PR-1BE), ETKA says you should be looking for front (PR-0JJ) dampers 8W0413031BH and springs 8W0411105HJ. For the rear (PR-0YJ), dampers 8W0513035AC and springs 8W0511115EP. --g

Start with the factual information, what are your 1Bx, 0Jx, and 0Yx PR codes?

Then realize the 0Jx and 0Yx PR codes are not the same for the same vehicle with 1BA (standard) vs 1BE (sport). It would be best to find the same vehicle but with 1BE and see what the 0Jx and 0Yx PR codes are on it. Then you can know the correct spring p/n.

Absent that, what we've seemed to assess over the years here is 1BE will be two codes "lower" on the front (0Jx) and one code "lower" on the rear (0Yx). So you could, if you didn't want the full 20mm drop, go just one code lower on the front and use the same code for the rear. The one range stronger springs will be a little bit higher than the "spot on" 1BE springs. How much not lower, no idea; you'd be the guinea pig for that deviation.
