    Wi-Fi Oil Pressure Sensor Install

Hello, I got the red light of death low oil pressure, immediately pulled off the road. Did not hear any weird noises or see any smoke or anything unusual.

I tried to install a diagnostic oil gauge but it was cheap and gave me 51 psi reading after the engine warmed up a bit... I believe is false.

In any case, I ordered a m10 x 1.0 oil tee adapter with 1/8 npt threads. I also found a Wi-Fi enabled Oil Pressure Sensor that has 1/8 npt threads that should adapt right into the side of the Tee and then the Audi oil pressure sensor on the end of the Tee. I have ordered a new audi pressure sensor from rock auto.

I havent tested or installed any of this yet, but does anyone have any objections as to why this wouldnt work or give me a more accurate reading of my oil pressure whenever I need to look at it?

Instead of having to hook up a diagnostic gauge every time and fuss around with oil and mess...?

I changed engines on this car 4 years ago, and disabled the balance shafts with the WASA Motors freewheel. I did see a very fine metallic swirl in the oil when I stopped working on it recently like a month or two ago... I added 5 qts of mobil 1 0w-40 full syn for that oil change.

Im having a hard time understanding now what else is wrong with this engine... thing ran great for years and now this low oil pressure issue again.... sure hope i didnt spin a bearing or something.

also, I never beat on this car, its just a cruiser.... what happened?

also I have checked fuel pump cam follower and it was nice, I replaced it anyways.

why would I have a fine swirl in my oil?

Also I hear rattling from the turbo charger like the wastegate needs to be adjusted and tensioned by a few mm.

Check for play in your turbo spindle. If you've pre-defeated the balancing shafts, thats the next part i'd think could cause issues.

no reason that setup wouldn't work ..

yeah one bar or about 14psi to about 18 psi is what we normally see with a warm engine.
