Sound started just a few days ago. Sound frequency increases with rpm and only audible when on throttle.

This video was taken at high speeds next to a median so that it would amplify the sound more so it’s not usually that loud in normal driving.

Hard to tell from video…but does it sound boost related? If so I’d lean towards issue with wastegates.

Can't say for sure. Poke around and check for anything loose that can vibrate. It sort of sounds like the inner and outer manifold separated.

Don’t think it’s anything with boost. No leaks anywhere and holding 10 boost with n75 disconnected. I am throwing code for multiple cylinder misfires. Pretty sure this is an a/f issue and am working on a new tune.

You think that noise is related to AFR??

That sounds to me like your cam gear is rubbing on the timing covers.

Yeah that’s what it sounds like to me too. Hopefully the cam gear isn’t out of place.

You think this sound could be water pump hitting timing belts cover as I do have a small coolant leak that could be coming from water pump. I think if I had a damaged cam gear it would be noticeable while driving

When's the last time you took apart the front end for a timing belt service? That could probably show you if there is rubbing going on within that area, but I have never once had a water pump hit the timing belt cover, ever.

Does it make that noise free reving? You should be able to at least pinpoint the area it's coming from. You can run the car without the front clip, timing covers and accessories and slowly work your way inward until you figure out what it is.

Car does not make the noise free raving. Only in gear.

I see no drip on undercarriage. So not thinking it’s water pump plus water pump was done with build less than 10k miles ago. Starting to think it might be the heater core unfortunately. I see no drip on the ground and can smell coolant in the cabin.

I would say that's good but that still sucks, maybe worse.

I’d take a leaking water pump over a leaking heater core for sure. TBH though I’ve only ever read about how much a PITA taking apart the dash is to do the heater core.

I've done heaters cores on numerous cars, not a b5, though. I'm sure they all suck the most amount of balls.
