8y Dash rattle

Anybody have it, sounds like it's coming from somewhere behind my gauge cluster(screen). Also, strangely, it gets quieter as the car heats up. It's so loud and annoying. I know someone said he had a rattle from his hud.

I had a similar rattle. I thought it was the HUD surround which I took off and used some felt and tessa tape to snug up the fit.

The rattle ended up being the knee panel beneath the steering wheel. The plastic guide pins rub against the frame of the dash. The noise disappeared when the weather warmed up but came right back when it got cold.

Take the panel down and use some sort of felt or tessa tape to wrap the plastic guide pins. Problem solved.

I have a nasty rattle but on the back tray area. I brought it to the dealer and they couldn't find it but my advise to you is to bring it to the dealer the sooner the better because I was told that noises like that are only covered for the first 12 months.
