Why is my transmission jerking from 1st to 2nd and slowing down in first?

Hi, I have an 0B5 transmission a gen 1 DL501. Anyway i am having issues with it going from first to second where it is jerking and sometimes it even feels like im going to stall which is crazy. Also when i am in first and i put my foot on the accelerator it sometimes jerks and then slows right back down when i take it off. I have already had the circuit board of the mechatronics unit replaced and just did a VCDS Adaptations but it is starting to come back. I dont know if this is a clutch pack thing or what it is but i dont want to have find out later down the track if it has a failure.

When you had the circuit boards replaced, did you change, or at least check the resisitance of the Solenoids on the Mechatronic? What year, model, mileage? A high mileage Mechatronic has bores that can wear out just like the valve body on a regular automatic transmission. Are there any fault codes being logged in the transmission module?

Its an A5 B8 8t3 2011, no i didnt have the solenoids changed as it wasn't the issue but it could also be that. It has 130,000km on it.

Are there any fault codes being logged in the transmission module: no but it can be on and off being jerky and i dont know why

I had the exact problem - a few years ago, I noticed a slow/stubborn down shifts during coming to a stop at lights. I remember worrying about the worst case scenario (like gear wear -> transmission service). When I took it in to a dealer, they suggested a tcm software update. And, it solved the problem. Cost of upgrade was minimal.

    Cheers,
