I think so. I’m not 100% sure, but highly suspect that the cause of what we dislike about the dsg short shifting is caused by a split in wheel speed front to back on a launch.

This makes me wonder why nobody has released a full manual tcu tune. 034 talked about it but it never happened.

If it’s what I think it is, it’s more of a safety feature built into the tcu. While I think it could be nice if they made it able to drag out first gear regardless of wheel spin, I am also not sure if it would damage anything in the process. Better to mitigate it by doing the appropriate chassis work necessary to make it not need the feature to begin with. Imo anyway.

Sounds amazing and I’m sure pulls like a freight train! Nice work! Good to see some new direction for the platform.

Do you notice any difference in power delivery going to the pro charger? More turbo-like?

Yes, it’s much more turbo like due to the size of the head unit. It still has the “instant on boost” that’s dependent on rpm. It’s just shifted to the right.

I remember VAST well from my B5 days in the early 00’s. What a car and community. Some guys in Cali opened up 034 Motorsports. I ran my B5 to 312k miles on stock K03s - no shit when I sold it and it was running beautifully.

Now I pick up my second S4 and here comes VAST with an insane project and I’m here for it.

It is different. That vast no longer exists. I’m very good friends with the og piggie though.
