Bentley W12 swap into 2014 Audi S8. I am having a problem with fitment in the subframe. The bentley W12 engine uses the ZF8HP90 rather than the ZF8HP55 that the S8 uses. The Bentley transmission is quite a bit larger than the S8 transmission and is causing a problem for the power steering rack. If anybody could help me out I would really appreciate it. The steering shaft/ steering rack input shaft is trying to occupy the same space as the front left drive shaft flange at the transmission. The D4 4.2 TDI uses the same transmission in the same chassis so there must be something different here. Maybe the flange is pushed further out and uses a slightly shorter CV shaft?

Would somebody that has a 4.2 TDI A8 please take a picture of this area for me? I need to see where the steering shaft goes into the steering rack and how it gets around this drive axle flange please?

I purchased 4.2 TDI transmission to mount bracket. And 4.2 TDI chassis to transmission mount bracket which are shaped differently than the S8 brackets. They sit about a inch lower in the car to make up for the extra height in transmission which still has 0 clearance (it fits but is rubbing on the insulation) with the floor. This at least positioned the transmission in a factory location so i can use the TDI driveshaft and CV shafts if i can figure out this steering shaft clearance issue.
