Hello Everyone. First time poster, long time lurker. I have a 2013 Audi TTRS that I finally decided after doing some research that I am going to likely have to build the engine for. I’ll first explain where the car is at.
-Ringer Racing Stage 3+ Clutch, full kit Good for 635 ft/lbs
-CTS intercooler good for 650 hp
-034motorsport hpfp piston upgrade
-Wagner catless downpipe,CTS catless midpipes, Stock Sport Catback
-CTS open air intake
-GFB DV+
-034motorsport street density trans and engine mounts will be installed afterwards.
That’s the important stuff. It’s tuned and gets 400 whp, and I would like to get to 600 on corn this summer if I can reliably. The plan at the moment is to drop in 980cc injectors, go with a Garrett GTX3576R, and upgrade the connecting rods to forged and replace any maintenance items that I can approach while I’m at it. From what I understand, the pistons are not the issue with this car, and I’m somewhat budget limited. Is my thought process reasonable, or am I missing something? Is the vw 6mt safe at this level? Do I need to upgrade the exhaust manifold to handle the flow or is it good? Is connecting rods enough for this power?
These are all questions that have built up for weeks as I’ve perused the forums. It’s great to meet you guys, looking forward to getting some answers.
