I had the Tiptronic transmission go out on the B6 Audi. It is the 01V tip. I bought a replacement that had 98,000 miles on it. I changed all of the seals accessible without pulling the trans apart and installed it. The transmission still had oil in the pan as well as the Torque Convertor. I followed the procedures of filling the transmission until the oil started dripping out. I installed the fill pIug then started the engine. While watching the temperature, I shifted through the gears. The trans shifted hard through the gears. With the engine still running I removed the fill plug so I could continue filling the transmission. I could hear a sucking sound so I knew there was not enough oil. I added the oil as quickly as I could. I filled until the oil started dripping out again. I could not hear the sucking sound after I started filling the transmission. I took the car off the jack stands, started it and shifted into drive. The transmission would not shift. I used VAGCOM to check for error messages and there were none. I thought that the transmission pump may have lost it's prime. I disconnected the hardlines that go to the transmission oil cooler one at a time and filled them with oil. I started then engine and shifted the transmission into gear and it would not engage. I am at a lost and am trying to figure out the issue I'm having. I don't know if the pump is defective due to the initial lack of oil or some other problem. If anyone has any ideas of what may causing the transmission not to shift and can answer that in my thread, it would be greatly appreciated.*
