Vacuum leak at master cylinder/brake booster

Good Morning, (to those in western states)

I was having a rough and inconstant idle. I will save everyone the whole story and say I found the leak to be at brake booster. I clamped of the line and lambda settled in very nicely. Evidently previous owner had taken a nut off of master cylinder. I replaced nut and tightened it back up. Unclamped vacuum hose and leak is still there to a lesser degree. My question is, is there a seal of some kind between booster and master cylinder that can leak? or is the diaphragm is booster shot?

Catalog does list a gasket between booster and MC. The part number I have is 357611243

The grommet for the vaccum connection to the booster is 861612175

You should download carprog2. It is an awesome source for VAG parts diagrams
