Any way to crank the engine without starting?

Is it possible to crank the engine over without starting the engine? And I'm asking that meaning without doing anything like manually disconnecting spark or fuel. In my Jeep, if I floor the accelerator and hold it there, I can push the start button and it will turn the motor over without actually starting the engine. I believe it's a sort of "engine flood" clearing mode that goes back to the old days of carburetors and such. Will that work in the B8 cars? Does anyone know?

I don't think there is a way of doing it without disconnecting something. I could be wrong. What are you trying to do it for?

Edit: Disconnecting the fuses is the easist way of doing it if you want to disconnect something

What engine? 2.0T, just disconnect the 8-pin plug to the injectors, on the T under the rear end of the intake manifold. No fuel, no start.

The other option is to bypass the starter relays and connect term 50 directly to term 30. You'll find term 30 at the positive jump start post on the TV22 term 30 distribution block. Right next to the TV22 block is the T5l 5-pin connector between the ECM and the starter and fan controller and such. That larger pin 1 wire is the term 50 wire. So separate the connector and just jumper that pin 1 on the right side half to 12v.
