    2006 B7 S4 manual sedan; help!

Carrying on with the refubrishment of the car to prepare it for the trip to JHMotorsports. Installed front Bilstein B6s as purchased from FCP; tried to install the rears which were too short. Learned that the Bilstein shock kit I purchased does not work for my car which has Mexico specific parts. US$2,000.00 wasted and additional US$1,200.00 spent purchasing Koni Yellow locally instead. New shocks will take 3 weeks to arrive. All four wheel driveshafts installed. Main driveshaft installed. Front discs and calipers installed. NEW PROBLEM! When engine started, before all this work, each of the four wheel driveshafts rotated slowly at the same speeed at idle. When engine started after this work, at first, front right driveshaft did not rotate. After checking on the brake caliper, it started rotating, but slower than front left, Rears rotating at same speed at idle as front left but front right slower. Then rears do not rotate anymore. Now, none of the four rotate at idle!!! All work performed, including correct torque verified. Software and/or Thorsen issue? No strange noises or smells, but me and my mechanic thoroughly confused. Any thoughts/help would be much appreciated!!!!!

I assume you mean the car is up on stands/lift and you put it in gear while at idle and watching the axles. Unfortunately I can't provide any useful factual information lol but I will say I did the same to mine before, up on jack stands and it was like the first instance you described. It had me scratching my head for sure and I gave up trying to understand what was going on and just accepted the there's a lot going on having the center differential in the mix. Short story long... It may be normal what your seeing with no load or resistance on any of the wheels, I agree it sounds strange none of them are as spinning but without being under resistance it's really hard to say. Maybe try braking lightly while watching? Does it sound like any part of the drivetrain is engaging when you let the clutch out?

Seems normal to me. No weight on the wheels can make the differentials do some funny things. Not always consistent on which wheel moves are how fast it spins

Nothing is wrong, it's all a variable with open style/viscous LSD, would be a different concern if you had an actual LSD.

Thanks to all for your thoughts. I indeed forgot to mention the car is up on four jack stands. So I will not worry, keep calm, and move on! Best!!!

Can I start the engine, let it warm and moderately rev it without problem?
