For some reason my windshield pumps always fail first, as if they get used more...

If your windshield jets stopped working make sure to check and see if you can hear the pump running. I've had them inexplicably freeze up before, maybe due to intermittent nozzle heaters.

Thanks guys. It's my headlight jets that aren't working. I originally suspected the body shop that repainted my front bumper somehow didn't reinstall the headlight washer jets, but I had it at a reputable shop the other day and they showed me a video where they pushed compressed air through the system and the jets popped out from the bumper, so now I guess it's the damn headlight washer pump!? Hoping it may be a relatively easy DIY job?

If you remove the drivers side wheel liner, you are looking right at the entire back of the tank. If you look behind the drivers headlight, you're looking at the top front of the tank. The windshield pump is the one on top, you can replace that one by just removing the headlight. Bottom one (for headlights) I suspect you can replace with just the front part of the fender liner unscrewed and pulled back with the wheel off the car without removing the tank if you're in a hurry, just watch it, those fender liners love to scratch up the arms if you're just working with them folded out a little.
The pumps are shoved into rubber bushings in the tank and sometimes those fight you a little, if you have to put anything on it to slide it back together I would use only a very small amount of silicone grease, don't use normal grease or oil or anything like that. The whole tank can be removed from the fender well if you decide to take it that far. the hoses are retained with plastic clips that have square-ish tabs in the middle, you pop the whole clip up out of the fitting and then the fitting slides right off (fitting has orings and those will probably be a little bit stuck if they have never been off before).

Thanks Avantly. Wondering if it's a bad pump or simply a wiring issue. What's more likely?

Both are equally likely in my opinion. Maybe you might lucky and find the connector displaced. But they are 20 year old cars so anything is suspect.

Right, understood. However, if when attempting to wash the headlights I don't see any windshield washer fluid leaks anywhere, is the pump more suspect?

I have had several of the windshield pumps fail. I have one car in which the headlight washer pump doesn't work, I haven't gotten around to checking that but due to my previous windshield pump failures, I suspect the pump. I believe there are also failures that can happen with the stalk that will affect operation of the windshield pump, but I haven't experienced that yet.

You can test the pump with 12V connected to the pins if you want to verify before buying one.
