R8 Rear Brakes on the RS4

Tossing some pictures up here since there aren't really any out there.

Stillstatic bracket was used. The caliper spacer should have the writing facing towards the car. Also had to grind down the end of the adapter mounting bolts (circled in red) to be flush with the plate to avoid contact with the rotor. They stick out ever so slightly.

Not sure, they came with the kit. Problem wasn't the head of the bolt but rather the length. The bolt inserts from the back. You might be able to find ones that are 2mm shorter I would guess. This was just a bit quicker and truth be told I don't know how to measure pitch.

Oh, I must have miss read then. I have things that measure pitch/diameter for me like key blades and bolt reference cards, worse case I go to a hardware store and use there hardware measurement display with the threaded studs/holes.

How big is that rotor and are those the carbon ceramic, can't really tell?

Is that a mini brake caliper? I've never seen something like that. If so, with it only clamping halfway down the rotor, wouldn't it create wear issues given that the larger caliper has pads that extend further down?

The mini is for the parking brake cable only, don't go trying to drift with that thing.

The fronts are 380mm and rears 356mm. Yes ceramics.

Looks much better with a proper sized rear setup.

I didn't think anything could top an Imola RS4 but then the Glut came along. Works so well with the Ti wheels / mirrors.

What size spacers are you running and any negative camber to prevent rubbing?

Had these made by Augment Wheels so no spacers. 19x9.5 ET22 on a 265/35

No rubbing other than major dips but I'll probably get an alignment and run some negative chamber to eliminate this Spring.

What are the routes one goes about to get the parts for doing this?

Is it find a crashed r8 by luck and get the rear brake components or does Audi still sell the parts new?

The bracket/adapter was no longer on Stillstatic's site unless that is a member.

I would email Stillstatic. Not sure how often he makes kits, etc. There was another company "Lowfact Big Brakes" that appears to make the same thing.

Just need the adapter kit (comes with hardware) and the rear calipers (main and parking) and rotors from an R8.

Ah nice yeah I run -1 degree and it's enough to stop any rubbing whilst not impact tyre wear evenness.

So do that company make the wheels to spec, exactly the same as the Audi wheel that left the factory but just to the added width that you wanted? That's pretty awesome.

Yup. They were able to match the face style exactly and make them in whatever size you want.
