I have a spare zf8 with tuned tcu. At some point if I swapped the tcu's or the whole transmission. Would this be just a protection adaptation? Just future planning.

Need more details. Why do you want to swap the tcu? Much easier to just tune your current transmission

not sure what more there is to know? If my current zf8 died, and I plopped in a replacement unit. What more other than a protection issue might I face? If the tcu has a tune on it, what issues may arise? I bought a whole spare car, ecu was tuned, tcu still tuned.

I understand there are no immo defeats (yet but in progress) but needing to adapt via odis. I may never swap it. Call it a technical exercise.

I know the immo has been cracked on the Audi zf-8 transmissions. I am waiting for more details to trickle out.

I am aware. I have been on Nef for 10+ years... Was just passing along that the AL551 immo has been figured out. Just another tool available. That user "neuro" sells his own software. I am sure it will be more than the Odis rental time.
