Identifying Rear Lower Control Arm Bushing for Audi A4 B9 3.0 TDI Quattro

    Hi everyone,

I need some help identifying the rear lower control arm bushing for my Audi A4 B9 3.0 TDI Quattro. The part number for the control arm is 8W0505311E, and I’ve attached a picture showing the part number on the bushing itself.

Despite having the part number visible on the bushing, I’ve had no luck finding any details or a replacement part online. Does anyone know where I can find the specific bushing part number, or if it’s sold separately?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

Same as MLB (B8), Audi doesn't quote the bushings on the rear axle control arms as replaceable for MLB evo (B9). So Audi makes no bushing part generally available, and has no process in the workshop manual for the replacement. Why they do it for the front axle arms but not the rear, I have no idea.

8W0505311H replaced 8W0505311E back in early 2017. No idea if the bushing p/n in an H is the same as in an E.

If anyone owns an Audi A4 or A5 from 2017 or later, could you please check the part number on the bushing of your rear lower control arm? This would really help me narrow things down.

I also reached out to Metzger. They sell the control arm with part number 8W0505311H but not the bushing. They informed me that they are not the producer.

A Google search found this, no experience with them, just a search result: https://durable.parts/product/sf0220...eK4B8Fr87-_scI

drhaller, thank you for your response. I too found that information on Google, but I was specifically looking for the standard bushings, not the "polyurethane" ones.

As an update to this thread, I reached out to several bushing manufacturers, and some of them replied. They informed me that no one currently produces a bushing for part number 8W0505311E or 8W0505311H. It appears that this part is exclusively manufactured by Audi.

During my search for the bushing, I came across a manufacturer and their website: https://catalogue.sidem.be/. They list all the bushings available for the Audi A4 B9. Unfortunately, while they offer a wide selection, they do not have the bushings for the rear lower control arm.
