B8 A4 Oil Pressure Sensor switch

Hey all new to the forum, I own a 2011 a4 that recently gave me a low oil pressure light and a warning to turn off the engine immediately, the warning goes away once I am driving but comes back on once I come to a stop and the rpm’s are less than 1k, i haven’t started the car since this warning light came on due to a fear of oil starvation, does anybody have idea what could be causing this?? I checked one of the sensors the brown one nearest the oil filter and there was no oil in the sensor which from what I’ve seen is a common sign of failure. PLEASE HELP

It's unclear what the issue might be, since the car has no idea what the actual oil pressure is. That's why the normal step 1 is get a T and put it on the brown switch position so you can run a gauge and the switch at the same time. The bracket port and the switch are M10x1.0; NOT NPT. Gauges tend to be NPT. So you want a T that is male M10x1.0, female M10x1.0, and then whatever port you need for the gauge. Then look and see what your real oil pressure is. That it's dropping out when you come to idle, not a surprise there.

It could any number of things. Welcome to the oil pressure issues and the EA888 Gen2 rabbit hole.

You also have a lean code. You might look first into if you have a defective PCV unit. A malfunctioning PCV can mess up the oil pressure on these engines.
