    heavy oil consumption q3 2016

    so im approaching 100k miles.
    q3 2016
    stock
    no mods.

    starting to have oil very heavy oil consumption. not sure exactly what is causing it or the fix.

    anyone else having this issue and remedies?
    also any way to tests for causes?

    changed the pcv with an oem unit. still has the same issue. no change.

    Same issue here. Car is getting diagnosed. My best guess is piston rings. Common issue on our cars.

    me too. piston rings might be the issue.
    so far I have kept an eye on levels. it seems intermitted.
    I'm check per week now. used to be days.
    days didn't change all that much till the 7 to 10 day.
    so now I check ever week.
    noticed some weeks it does drop a whole line. from top filled line to low level line. after 7 days.
    some weeks nothing really changed. not sure the cause or what.
