    Still in love

I'm still in love with my 2021 RS6 after 1 year of ownership. Despite being in the shop for 3 months for an engine out oil leak repair, and despite all the fear around the alternator issues, I still love driving this car, and I still turn around every time I park it and take a peek back. Not since my 19 8 4 black on black 911 turbo have I had a car that I think is this good looking. And what a great daily driver. I just installed my AliExpress start/stop eliminator that I paid a whopping $11 for on sale and I'm even happier now that I don't have to lift my finger to push that button every time I start it...

I feel exactly the same and three and a half years on I still get strangers giving their admiration and approval.

Re the stop/Start eliminator how difficult was the installation ? Could a complete novice (ie me) do the install ?

    Happy New Year !

@timb - glad you’re still loving your car! Isn’t great when you make a purchase like this that is SO satisfying many months after-the-fact? I’m away from mine for the winter, and I actually miss it. I too look back every time I walk away from it, and it brought a smile every time I drove it. I put over 4k miles on in the first couple months and loved every moment.

We have turned over cars more frequently than I would have expected over the past ten years, but I think this one will be in the garage for awhile.

Should be picking a new one up this year, also have a (991.1) GT3 in the garage. Excited to have something so different but complementary to drive! I've never gone more luxurious than F80 M3 so having more space and comfort will be nice for daily driving and trips. These cars look incredible and the drivetrain just seems to go about it's business effortlessly.

Love my '21 so much I put an order in on a '25 last fall. Figure it's probably the last year they're making em, might as well grab one spec'd out exactly how I want it. These are truly amazing cars, can't say enough good things about em.

Yep, still in love myself. First, I bought a new '25 last Friday after ordering mine about 7 months ago. Sold my '23 five weeks ago. And speaking of love, I picked up my car on my wedding anniversary!

That would be an epic combination. Also a 991.1 GT3 owner here, but my need for a dog-friendly practical daily that I won't hate to drive (RS6) is starting to weigh on me and unfortunately I'd have to get rid of my GT3 for it. Not sure if I'm brave enough.

I've got a 991.2 tuned and modified 7MT Carrera S - GTS turbos, tune, AP Racing big brake kit, 110/160 springs, Tractive suspension, DSC controller, TPC racing wide track front, Cup car front LCA, elephant racing spherical bearings, TPC racing front upper control arms, tarett engineering rear camber arms, custom wheels - it puts out about 550whp and has similar acceleration figures to my RS7 from 0-60, but is almost 2 seconds faster from 60-130. It's a completely different animal. The RS7 is so much fun on the road, particularly in the mid-RPM range. It's super comfortable, and insanely thirsty - I get maybe 10mpg with it. The 911 is so much more precise around corners, more nimble, more agile and a blast on track. They are like Jekyll and Hyde. Both are super fun for completely different reasons.

Revisiting an old thread to say: I’m STILL in love after being away from the car for 3+ months

We have returned from our winter away. Yesterday I spent the day running errands and we have gorgeous weather - perfect for reuniting with the RS6. It made my day more fun and enjoyable.
