    Surface Discharge Plugs

Recently watched a video with REP performance where he talked about one of their biggest r8 builds with an expensive engine blowing up cause of a dropped plug tip.

If memory serves right, Koolade from this forum also had this happen a few years ago on RS4.

While this is very rare, the consequences are not good.

When I do plugs would like to try surface discharge which eliminates this.

Just a google search brought up this site for now, reputable brands preferred I guess if you know: https://briskusa.com/collections/ymm-products

If the Link doesn't take you fill in the Make model criteria and there are like 6 options for our car.

Have any of you had success with surface discharge plugs of a certain model number /make for the BNS?

I'd like to spend the extra money on the plugs when doing a change and eliminate this point of failure, due to replacement engine scarcity

I have these https://briskracing.com/products/bri...s-t-spark-plug and haven't had any issues, they are a step(s) colder then recommended. Not exactly sure what you mean by surface discharge but have an idea though I can't remember the name, side gap or something...

Surface discharge is a plug with no ground electrode.

I just can't recall ever hearing it as surface discharge is the issue I'm having and can't remember the name I heard it by.

Linked to the Brisk plugs that I'm using, though they may need to be replaced, and haven't had any issues with them.
