Oil Drain Plug with attched washer.

Couldn't find a subject on this one and thought I'd start a thread and maybe some of you can chime in....
On my previous oil-change a few months ago I discovered some oil seepage around the oil pan/plug area and my indie asked if I bought any crushed washers (apparently the new guy wasn't aware there is already a washer on it) and I say no since our car seem to use these plugs with attached washers. He applied some glue around the old plug and it did stop the leak. Just did another oil-change yesterday and the glue seem to stop the leak pretty well. But since I've already bought a few of the same exact fit drain plugs from Audi (N-908-132-02). I just went ahead and replace it anyway. I work on my car a lot but one thing I don't do is oil-change for a few reasons....but that's another story for another day. So the question is how often do you guys replace this type of plug since there is no way of replacing the attached washer? I was surprised that it even held up this long. Here's the plug....

Old plug is on the left, and the new one is on the right. Hard to make out the fault.

Steel washers dont need to be replaced. It rarely gets crushed and gives out. With that being said- i never had to replace one untill my engine failed around 207k miles due sudden failure of the oil pump.

Wow, that lasted quite a long time. How often or what intervals do you change your oil? Like I mentioned, I found some seeping leak on mine at around 95K. Needless to say I just replace it.

I use an aftermarket magnetic plug, with new crush washers every change, but the oil service kits from FCP I use comes with new drain plug. So guessing it should be changed every oil change.

5k-6k but it rarely makes up to 120hrs of usage. I used to drive about 60-70 miles a day minimum.
