Cool 12.3 inch screen upgrade with android carplay

Hi guys, I have a 2020 Q5 and am looking to upgrade the oem screen with a large 12.3 inch touch screen unit with carplay, this is what I've found:
    https://www.dvdgpsnav.com/2018-audi-...avigation.html

I like it because there's an android host box which is not built in to the screen so it has less heat on the screen. Has anyone installed a unit like this before? Is 12.3 inch too large for the dash or should i go with the 10.25 inch version instead?

I didn't buy the exact unit, but I had a poor experience with a similar one (12inch android based upgrade for the '18 Q5). I suspect most of these units are the same aliexpress junk rebranded.

    - extremely difficult initial install, since there was incomplete instructions. Some parts are really hard to fit in the right way, especially the CD player unit is hard to stuff back in due to the extra wiring. 10+ hours, you have to take apart the entire dash.
    - The rear camera view was inconsistent, most of the time it was blank in R and then turned the camera on in park
    - The screen off button did not work at all
    - The screen did not follow the interior brightness settings, and the default brightness was way to bright to drive at night
    - the software was very shoddy with bad english translations

IMO, its just not worth it because the products are shoddy. I've accepted that I will just have to buy a 2021+ if I need a touch screen.

I’ve made the purchase. I'll see how it goes.
