I have a new RS e-tron GT. I have two major gripes with CarPlay.

First, If I am listening to an input that is NOT CarPlay and someone is using the phone that is connected, anytime an app is opened (Gmail, Safari, etc.) CarPlay takes over and changes the audio input from whatever I am listening to over to CarPlay. This behavior does not happen in any other car that I have used CarPlay in.


Second, when using an app from the phone for directions (Google maps, Waze, apple maps, etc.), it fully stops the music to give me the verbal direction, then after about a 3 second pause starts the music again. If using the MMI for directions but playing music from CarPlay, the music volume drops a bit for the directions, but the music never stops. My wife's Rav4 and other cars I have used CarPlay in do this as well. Is there a setting to make it so CarPlay reduces the volume of the music if the directions are coming from the phone?
