Exclamation GAS B9 Titanium Intakes & Charge Pipes Are Here!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
After months of development, we are proud to announce our first two B9 S4/S5-specific products are ready to go!

    1. GAS 89mm Titanium Intake, B9 S4/S5/RS4/RS5 EA839

The B9 V6T is a relatively muted vehicle from the factory. Our intake system will allow your engine to breath properly, unleashing the glorious spool & blow off sounds that are characteristic of a turbocharged car.

This is one of those simple but effective upgrades that adds a bit of show to the engine bay while improving turbo/induction sound, and since they're full 3.5" they will work with stock turbo inlets as well as the largest inlets from IE, 034 etc. Logging shows that although they're an open box design, there is no notable increase in intake air temps over the stock airbox. Our intake can be found on Jackal Motorsports' 93 octane hybrid turbo record S4 ([email protected]) paired with an IE turbo inlet.

    Features:

    • Extremely lightweight
    • Pie cut from 100% CP1 grade titanium, hand TIG welded, and back-purged for longevity
    • Pairs perfectly with stock or upgraded turbo inlet pipes
    • Audible turbo/diverter valve sound outside & in the cabin

    2. GAS Titanium Charge Pipe Set, B9 S4/S5 EA839

These beefy, lightweight full 3.0" GAS charge pipes replace your failure-prone stock plastic and rubber units to keep your boost where it should be - inside the engine.

    Features:

    • Lightweight titanium construction is extremely resistant to corrosion
    • Mounting flange for OEM 3 or 4-bar charge pressure sensor
    • 2x 1/8" NPT bungs for boost reference and WMI/nitrous, mounted after the boost sensor to ensure no sensor fouling
    • 4-ply chemical, oil, and coolant resistant silicone couplers rated to 10bar (145psi) boost pressure
    • Stainless T-bolt clamps for high strength
    • Won't crack, tear or fail like stock plastic/rubber pipes
    • 76mm diameter charge pipes are rated to over 800hp (approx. 71lb/min) of airflow and can be mated to intercoolers with 2.5", 2.75” or 3.0" outlets without becoming a restriction
    • Hand-built and machined start-to-finish in Canada

Both of these products (like everything we make) were designed with the future in mind, made to pair perfectly with Stock/Stage 1 setups while providing more than enough flow for the largest hybrid/full-frame setups.

These intakes & charge pipes are proudly made in Canada by our talented builders, and are available in multiple finishes to suit each setup! These two and more can be found on our B9 page here: https://garageautosports.com/pages/b9-s4-s5-rs

Intakes fit perfectly, but we haven’t done charge pipes for them yet. They’re planned though!

Just a quick update, we've done a minor update to the intake heat shield design for better separation and compatibility for all years and variants. We also got a chance to run just the intake side by side with the stock airbox on a Stage 1 91 octane RS5 and get some results. This was the average of 3 consecutive pulls on our heartbreaker Mustang AWD dyno. This is on stock hardware/stock turbo inlet with just a tune, so gains will be higher as you go through Stage 2 and upgraded turbo setups.

We were please to record average gains of +11whp/+9wtq, but even happier to see that our intake promoted faster spool, and due to a lower pressure ratio across the compressor wheel (measured as lower pressure drop at the turbo inlets at the same boost level), there's less stress on the turbo(s)!

In addition to the mild power increase and faster spool time, our full 3.5" intake will flow well over hybrid turbo range in terms of CFM, so no worry about having to upgrade in the future.
