I have a couple misfires in a 2008 S5 I recently purchased. Looking for some help and advice on what could be causing them
Its pretty consistent in turning on the CEL as soon as it warms up. It starts to miss and will turn the light on. I installed 8 new plugs, and swapped around some coils to see if the problem moved, and the codes still stay the same: 301 and 305
Car has 122K miles and I do not have any history. Just had the Intake off. Inside of the Intake and the back side of the intake valves look nice and clean. Did find a vacuum hose disconnected during this process, and reconnected that. No help----same codes 301 and 305 appear.
I really don't want to replace Injectors because its a relatively big job and its expensive. Am wondering if there is anything else i should be checking to find the source of my problems. Are there some ground straps to check? Might it be drivers in my ECU? Is there anything common between these two injectors that are on the front end of the rail?
And Ideas, no matter how weird or obscure, would be appreciated. Thanks
