    Trailer hitch for '05 Allroad

Hi all - I have an '05 Allroad. I haven't done a ton of research, but I am interested in buying a trailer hitch, and not sure if anyone is still making anything nice (or at all) for this vehicle these days. Perhaps someone has a partout hitch in good condition to sell? Thanks in advance.

Thanks - can you give me a little more info - sorry to be ignorant here, but would I need that subframe in addition to the hitch? If so, that looks like a serious installation job.

And is that a custom fabricated hitch, or off the shelf?

It's oem hitch and you wouldn't need anything else except the hitch itself.

These are really hard to find. The OE hitches are great, but often in rough shape and/or totaled. If you can swing it, get this.

I went as far as contacting someone for a custom one, but it’s not cost effective. I eventually got another Allroad with an old aftermarket frame mounted hitch that fit the bill.

If you do end up running a hitch, you’ll most likely need to modify the rear bumper, valence, and/or rear crash bar to accommodate the hitch. With a 2005, the wiring is already tucked up under the rear bumper, too.
