    Hi

I have three error codes detected for my Q5 Quattro T3.0 2015 and the Canadian dealership wanted to charge me almost 11k to repair them. Help and suggestions? Thanks!

P04200 - Bank 1 catalyst efficiency below threshold intermittent
P04920 - Bank 2 secondary air flow too low intermittent
P052E0 - PVC regulator vent valve performance, static

The first error is bad, catalystic converter is not working properly or already dead. The problem with these engines is that when the cats deteriorate they get clogged and there might be missfires, if completely clogged things can get nasty.

The SAI cleaning is a shitty process where they drop the exhaust manafolds and use water to clear the clogging of the SAI. Probably this is the most costly thing to service on the car besides the chains ofc. I didn;t bother cleaning them, just asked one guy to remove the CEL for this particular errror.

The PCV is a common issue, the charger has to be lifted, PCV and the brether hose have to be changed. Also t-stat and waterpump is a good idea as well. I have changed my PCV 40k km ago and now it is not working properly again.

Regarding the P04920, was there not an extended emissions warranty covering this (10 years, 120K miles)?
