    B9 Allroad 6speed Swap

Just wondering if anyone has attempted this yet. As much as I love my 6spd B8 Avant, it would be nice to have the newer car.

I figure it would only be possible on a preface lift B9 Allroad, you would need all the bits from a A4 6speed sedan, including the different console and MMI buttons. Im more so curious if its possible on the coding side.

Glad someone else brought this up. I started doing prelim research on this about a year ago and never got far. I think the most complicated part of this would be shifter alignment and driveshaft length, right? Aside from that it should be mostly straightforward, right?

On the coding side of things it should be simple as long as you have access to software like ODIS. To my knowledge it's not going to be possible to do this with VCDS or OBDeleven.

Just curious - what roughly would need to be done from the coding aspect? I know its not going to be just a simple adjustment, but I'm curious to know where I can look to further my education on this matter. I know there have been a couple B8 allroads that have been swapped so it should be doable, but you never know.

Subscribed and very interested in this topic! I've got a VERY clean B9 Allroad that I wouldn't mind doing this swap to, add in some more power and the car would be super fun to drive. I've done an auto to manual swap on two BMW (e46 and e61) long roofs before I got a B9.

It wouldn't be simple, especially not with ODIS. ODIS only does server coding, especially on newer vehicles. ODIS gets a readout from your car, sends to Audi server, and based on PR codes will code the vehicle to the original factory build.

VCDS might be the only option, but it will come down to if the modules that need to be coded have a manual coding option / the capability to be coded. This was the case with my B8.

In my B8 I needed to recode the majority of the modules in the car in order not to have data bus missing faults from a lack of a TCU. Not to mention, the car now needed to know that there is a safety neutral switch (master slave), which involved wiring. Putting the mechanical hardware in is the easy part, its the wiring / coding that will be the pain in the ass.
