    Actuator Arms on Drive units

If anyone here has noticed that their actuator arms on the drive units under the intake manifold are on the breaking point, I've had the right side one 3D printed. Get in touch with me if you need to replace this arm...OEM Part number of the drive unit is 079133619A. This is only the little plastic arm, not the whole drive unit. I have noticed mine was on the breaking point when I was taking out the IM for flap removal.

Most owner opt to have the flaps removed. There are a few documented engine failures due to the screws that hold the flaps in place coming lose and getting sucked into the engine.

That's exactly why I had them removed. But when the manifold was removed, I noticed one of the actuator arms (right side) was close to breaking. After a long search, I could only find one for EUR500 in Germany. So instead I had it 3D printed and seems to be more solid than the original one...So it's already mapped out and installed. Let me know if anyone else needs this part...

Hope you make out better than I did. I had an arm 3d printed a few years ago but it didn't last long. Cracked and broke within a few months.

Yeah, I hope it does. The guy who did it is says it is stronger than the original. He does 3D printing to replace parts in industrial machines that are no longer available...
