2016 SQ5 has FUEL smell in the cabin when first driving.

The smell isn't there when you get in the car but shows up when first driving and then goes away or you stop being able to smell it.
I checked and there is no outstanding recalls for this car. I did see that some Q5s had a fuel pump recall.
We did have a recent service for the 40,000 miles- the ECS kit with spark plugs, oil change, air filter and cabin filter. I will see when they can get it in to have a look at it, but I am guessing we shouldn't drive it.
    Thanks.
    Bob.

Had the car booked in to get looked at and she tells me that she only smells it when she first backs out of the driveway... So I told her she was backing into her own fart.

I had her turn the blower off and not turn it on until she was down the road and there is no fuel smell. lol

Thanks for posting the update, glad it was something easy. You could always turn on recirculation for the blower and that may fix it as well

For future reference. These plastic flanges on the fuel pump under the right rear passenger seat can crack and leak fuel when tank is full. Whole cabin smells like gasoline until you replace it. Found this on my 104k mile 2015 SQ5
