2002 A4 B6 Passenger Airbag location and replacement

I need the location and procedure to access, test the connection, and possibly replace dashboard or beneath glovebox airbag module for front passenger.
Anyone who has DIY'd this or has recommendations - thank you!

UPDATE—I've accessed the airbag easily after removing the glove box. I disconnected the battery and waited an hour for the charge to dissipate. I checked the connection, and all looks as original upon installation 22 years ago. It's clean as a whistle, and looks new. I was told the airbag was defective by a code, and it seems this may be true. I will reconnect the airbag and battery leads and see if this has reset the airbag light to off when the diagnostic is run through. Does anyone have experience with passenger airbag troubleshooting? Are there other connections to check? Any tips would be appreciated.

I got mine out this summer. As I recall, I had to remove the glove box, and then I remember lying on my back, under the dash, removing fasteners. It wasn't too hard. I didn't put one back in, so I don't know if there are important things you need to do in order to safely reinstall it.

I snapped some pictures for you in the garage real quick, though some parts may be missing. I hope these are helpful for you.

Mike, thanks for the pics and for relating your experience. I hadn't thought about removal and not replacing. Did that cure the airbag light-on issue?
I'm seeing a bracket with 4 fasteners removed. This is very helpful. I can buy a salvage replacement for $55 locally. Would love to have mine tested though.
Was yours identified and removed due to a code and airbag light on dash?

Oh, sorry, I don't have airbags in that car anymore, but actually, I believe my car's airbag light was on due to the side crash sensors. They were rotted away due to corrosion. It's a race car now.
