So for anyone that has gone from the stock 255/45/20 to 265/45/20 is it worth the current $436 difference for a set of 4?

Was going to go up a size but thought the difference would be a smaller amount. Since we are doing a whole new set wanted to check if its worth a better look and feel.

In my case the larger size was cheaper. Price just depends on availability and where you buy from.

Check tire rack, Costco, etc and compare prices.

I went with Michelin Primacy Tour A/S 3 because of it's sound absorbing foam layer inside the tire. Very quiet.

I don't see justification for bigger 265 tyre. visually you may not notice the difference of 10mm in width. Your car may well have traction control, the bigger tyre will not offer any advantage. 265 tyre may not fit well with your existing rims, the tyre may blow up at high speed cornering. Your car fenders may not 100% cover the mud spray from bigger tyre.
