The cheapest RS6 I saw at my dealer was almost $140K, usually around $150k
Coding the CS actually makes the car even better in daily and sporty driving (better steering feel, more compliant suspension, smoother transmission logic). It's definitely a must have regardless of how or what you use your car for.

I didn't know that, seems counterintuitive for the track oriented car, except the steering, perhaps.

The actual CS is just a better all around car (street and track). The only downside to the CS for street use is the removal of the center armrest cup holders. Aside from that, the suspension is more compliant (not softer) - however, more controlled and compliant = a better ride in daily use as well. The gearbox mapping is quicker as well, but it also equates to less clunky gear changes. The steering is what most people get the CS coding package for. It eliminates any slop and introduces more road feel. Again, keep in mind that these are just the software changes that improve the the regular M3 Competition xDrive. The actual CS has revised physical dampers as well, and additional bracing, bushings, etc.

Are people paying MSRP for the M3 CS? With all the hype around it being an "extremely limited production run" I would imagine that dealers are marking them up a fair bit.

Do you use the "Bummercode" & "OBDLink CX Bluetooth" for coding? I need to permantly delete fake exhaust sound (ASD). I have M1 & M2 modes set to sound off, but I think there might be some residual sound.

People were paying markups, but the CS model for the M3 was only a 2024 model so it's no longer in showrooms (unless it's marked up and sitting without someone wanting to spend that kind of money).

I don't do any coding myself as it's much more difficult (for me) to do vs say OBD11. I just pay to get remotely coded whenever I want to change things. You buy the cable and then it's usually $200-300 for whatever you want to get done in a full session.

That is great pricing. My 2019 RS5 with 49k is not pulling near that much

    To the original topic:

I test drove the M3 and M4 in South Korea on the BMW track. That is the reason we got the RS5. The BMW is a monster and very fun but I didn’t do chill like the RS5. I’m older now and I chill more than being a hooligan on the street.

Not with my carfax... If not for hail damage (pdr fully repaired, btw) it'd be worth another 4-5k back in October I was told by two other dealers. Regardless, I was happy and got almost new M3C

I think these B9 RS models are going to be highly sought after with the huge change ups on the B10 and beyond. Holding mine as long as I can and making great use of it.

We shall see… Need to see the B10 in person… the photos are not doing it for me.

wow, not going to lie, why not use the $52,000 you lost to drive 45k miles and buy a nice car for its lifetime? for 52k you can get like a lightly used M440i or a brand new Integra type S or a brand new Golf R. Granted the RS5 has more horsepower. I guess i could never justify buying a $94k car.

Why did you sell the car?

    With vehicle Horse Power;

    .......A little is good

    ........More is better

    ..........Too much is just right.

    523 HP > 444HP

Also for reliability, the B9 water pump is a ticking time bomb, which limits ability to make reliable cross country trips.

I don't miss the RS5 DRC suspension at all. I do miss the velvet smooth transmission, though.
