    DOWNPIPE & RADIATOR FITMENT | 2015 A6 PRE-FACELIFT

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Audi Fanatics,

I have been scouring, and over many days, trying to find information about a downpipe and radiator that can fit on the A6 pre-facelift model with the 2.0L engine.

I just recently found out that DARKSIDE makes this intercooler, and it fits with the model. Link is here: https://www.darksidedevelopments.co....-platform.html

Basically, has anyone installed on their own 2.0L both a downpipe and radiator? Did they get fitment advice on other Audi models that also happen to fit with our platform?

Thanks to anyone for the help!

Start reading. Probably the most comprehensive 2.0t thread there is.

Not helpful as an answer. Looking for *recent* direct, first-hand experience for people who have the same platform, which you do not seem to do based off your vehicle description. Some people leave me scratching my head...

Oh, what you wanted was someone to spoon feed you information because you're too lazy to read. Should have just said that. Some people leave me scratching my head.....

Second, your car isn't some special snowflake, and it didn't magically grow or shrink since it's been produced, it's the exact same C7 2.0t that everyone else has, and the same parts they used will fit yours. There is nothing different about your car than someone who put the same exact part on it 2 years sooner.

I installed this on someone's car 6 months ago, it took less than an hour. I watched this video before hand. We had a lift, it might take you longer if you don't, and heck, it might take you longer anyway judging by the questions your asking. I'd budget a day in your case.

Pickings are going to be slim because you have the least desirable motor you can possibly have in your car. So it's unlikely that there is any new relevant and groundbreaking information available than there was 2 years ago. They really aren't making 3.0t stuff anymore, and the only reason these cars got good 3.0t stuff is it was the hot motor in the B8 S4/S5.

Allegedly all of the B8 stuff bolts right up too, it certainly did on my 3.0t, but don't hold me to that.

I'll talk to the guy I work with to see what intercooler he wants, but he'll probably just tell me to pick it, and I'll probably just pick the cheapest B8 intercooler kit I can find. If it's an inch too short, I'll just grab a longer hose coupler or weld some more pipe on.

Now that I'm done spoon feeding you, go read that thread.

Sorry Burkey, I clearly struck a chord with you and to make it up to you, I'll let your boyfriend know how badly you want to be spoon fed given your frequent mention of it. Judging by the information YOU'RE giving, I'll take it and use it alongside the information I hope to get from the few emails I sent out regarding fitment and compatibility with B8/B8.5 Audis recently.

I already read through the linked post and keep up with it. Did you know it is also randomly marked with inquiries from others about 3.0t models, or about c7.5, which is fine, but you saying it is the most comprehensive, is somewhat true, but not a high bar to hit in itself because information is so scattered. It's answered many of my questions already, and its answered questions of things I have planned, but it was also supplemented with YouTube videos and other resources.

When one willingly enter someone's forum post (assuming we have knowledge on the topic...) where they are asking a specific question, one does their due diligence to give an accurate response, not link a generic 46-page thread. I made sure to let you know it was not a helpful initial response to weed it out for those reading in the future. Don't be upset lol.

Now that I've scratched your deep little itch this one time, you can go on and pad your forum stats elsewhere and hit four ring status on the platform since that what seems to matter you over real, useful information.

Acting like a know it all and lashing out whilst not searching isn't a good way to go about business on forums and will frequently net you little return. It's a lesson I learned a couple of decades ago, I suppose you'll learn eventually.

For what it's worth, I answer your questions. I'm probably the most recent person on this forum that has experience working on a C7 2.0t doing what you want. I even met your little arbitrary standards you set in the first post (after you sniveled that I didn't) so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about.

Sure, we can agree to disagree and leave it there...I am the one asking for help but I collaborate with those who add value, and don't cater to lousy replies, Myles.

Can't be acting a donkey when you willingly enter someone's post, give a mid-reply, and then not expect to get clowned. I just gave the same energy back.

BTW, my post talks asks about fitment of radiators, not intercoolers, which are two different parts and you keep bringing up the latter. Wear a helmet next time you walk around a car on a lift, I believe you bumped your head one too many times and are using the terms interchangeably.

You said radiator, then posted a link to an intercooler. Your communication skills lack.

Yes, the aftermarket radiators interchange between C7 and B8 (easily found through a google search, yet again). Although if you just want a stock one, buy a stock replacement for your vehicle from a trusted vendor and be done with it. Check this out.

And with a simple google search, you can also easily see that intercoolers and radiators are not interchangeable, so are we going to keep making silly arguments? I linked the intercooler because it fits, but I was inquiring about fitment details for downpipes and radiators, literally just read the text. You say my communication skills lack, but I understand the nature of my initial post and pointed out your continued mistake between intercoolers/radiators. I just didn't say anything about it until after because I had a slew of other things to point out about your silly assumptions about me and weirdly condescending tone. So is it my communication skills or your reading skills that actually lack here? Relax your gnarled fingers off the keyboard because remember, you strolled into the post and invested your own time, so the only person you can be disappointed in is yourself.

I'd never share a drink a with you, but after I read through your replies and weaved through the rage baiting bits, I can appreciate the radiator, JHM, and YouTube links and have them saved. Just tone it down, I made the post because I clearly lack some information and needed some directly otherwise I wouldn't be here and am aware of how "business" runs - part of "business" is also letting Burkeys aware when they overstep. I plan late November/early December to give an update on at least the downpipe and how the install went, as well as for the radiator firstly because I wish to contribute and now also to return some net positive as you like to talk about.

Unitteo - why are you being so aggressive? Burkomatic has been a solid contributor to this forum and his posts have been both entertaining and informative. I for one have benefited quite a bit from his contributions. Clearly Burkomatic can hold his own and doesn’t need anyone to defend him, but your aggressive tone is not something that belongs on this forum.

I just felt this needed to be said.
