RS6 Performance Air Suspension Ride Height Adjustment

I've got a '24 RS6 Performance with the air suspension. Bought new, and have nearly 5k miles. I've noticed that my ride height is always in the middle of the range (three bars high). I can obviously raise the car to the top height (5 bars), but at speed, in comfort, dynamic, auto or either of the RS modes it stays at the third bar, mid-height setting and never lowers as I thought it was supposed to. There was a brief moment a few months ago where I got an error message in the dash suggesting something to the effect of air suspension error or fault, but it went away and I've not seen it since, but noticed the height never changes. Any others with a similar situation? Suggested fixes, other than heading to the dealer--which I will do but wanted to see if I was possibly missing something about how its supposed to function.

I've got the '24 RS7 and in RS1 & RS2 mode it lowers all the way down. With your RS6 being new and under warranty I'd take it to the dealership and have it looked at, somethings not right.

No, this is correct. For some reason, in the US, RS6s do not lower (except automatically at high speeds), while the RS7 does. Perhaps a weird regulatory thing, but Audi and many forum members have confirmed this is expected behavior.

RS6's only lower automatically going at speeds of 70-75 mph or more. You cannot do it automatically. But if you have not seen it lower at all, even while cruising on the highway... I would take it in to the dealership to get looked at. May be an issue.

Mine didn't start lowering at speed until I hit approximately 650 miles for some reason

Thanks guys, it's definitely not lowering at speed, so I've got it scheduled for a visit to the dealer. I'll follow up. Thanks all for the comments.

What did you find out from the dealer? I have a new 2025 RS6 Performance and noticed I cannot manually lower the car past the mid-point level.

You will not be able to in the RS6. Lowering at speed is a different function. if you want to lower it further and program your own ride heights, then you will need a CETE module.

Will the CETE work on a '25 RS6? I keep hearing things are different in 25+ due to increased security on the modules.

Works on my 2024, which I believe has the same security issues. I don't think it's an issue cause it doesn't appear to mess with the ECU.
