Hey it’s been a minute, i’m now on e85. Car has been running and idling good but the tune definitely needs refining, I logged the car a bit and boost is spiking too much and the car just falls on its face at WOT. No more hard pulls. I’m trying to figure out if Jfonz is even available to do some refinements, if another company can refine his tunes, or if it needs to be fully retuned for just e85 because the pump gas tune was refined and is solid.

You can’t just toss E85, or any other fuel, into a car running a pump gas map.

Nothing about your last post suggests that.

No idea if he’s around or not, not someone I know.

Start from scratch. Either Brad at GET or Blake at ET Spec. Ol Jfonz isn’t about to refine that bad boy.

Great, I will look into them thank you. Figured so, but would be much easier and $$ if he did. Im sure the other tunes are quality and I won’t have to worry about not being able to reach the tuner if there is problems.

Like @CELison, Brad or Blake are the main 2 you’ll find people use in the US. A couple others do it too, and then some overseas people as well. I’ve personally used Brad. Can’t go wrong with either, so long as all the kinks of the car are ironed out and the typical vcds data (maf values, vacuum at idle,) are where they should be. They do it remotely, so they will start you with a base map, at just wg pressure. Drive/log, email them the log, and they revise from there. If everything is sorted mechanically, won’t take them long to get it dialed in.

I’m about to pull the trigger shortly on a ET spec e85 tune with NLS, i tried to get in touch with GET because the tune includes NLS but I haven’t heard back. Blake is very responsive and seems like he is on top of it.

Brad can be alil slower at times (couple days to respond) but he always gets back to me. If you don’t hear anything in a week I’d reach back out maybe message got lost

Great timing. He messaged me today, I spoke back and fourth with him and I will need to install a wideband AFR gauge to monitor AFR in boost. Which idk why wasn’t put in when the car was built anyway. And since i’m stock bottom end he warned me that it is risky to run e on a strong tune. I knew this to begin with but don’t think it’s worth it in the end since I daily drive the car. Please give me opinions, maybe buy another block and build it? How reliable is a bulilt bottom end 500+ hp allroad? Or will stock be okay on a mild e tune?

You should keep it stock and be happy with that. Once you open the block, the cost gets way out of control, and the daily part isn't really an option.

Definitely what i’m going to end up doing for now, in the future when im done school and have more cars or a bike an free time I want to continue the build. I might just get the car retuned with a mild E map until then and do a bunch of random shit to make it nicer . I’m going to try to hold on to the car for as long as possible, since it’s been part of the family.
