Hey guys, first post. So I recently picked up a B9 S5 and decided to go stage 1+ E85 with IE and after the HPFP upgrade the car was an absolute blast to drive. Pulling at higher speeds I noticed the IATs getting way too high and decided to replace the crappy stock A5 intercooler with a rev9. The IAT problem has disappeared but now the car feels a good bit slower than before. It just doesn’t kick me in the butt like it used to or put the same smile on my face. I’m not just getting used to it either I drove it around on a hot day and it was great then upgraded the IC and drove around that same night when it was significantly cooler and it’s just never been the same. Done a few data logs and no major boost leaks. Only thing I can think of is the passenger side OE charge pipe was a little bent out of place with the new intercooler since fitment wasn’t 100% but it would stay without a hose clamp so wasn’t THAT out of shape just didn’t look as smooth as with stock intercooler but nothing alarming, just a slight bend. Not sure if that would cause such a dramatic decrease in power. The car isn’t slow to the point something seems wrong but seems comparable to the 91 stage 1 file and is miles different from the stage 1+ E85 file that I’d grown to love. Any suggestions are appreciated!
