2023 Audi RS5 wear items and upgrades

I recently picked up a 2023 Audi RS5 with 2k miles. The car has every package except the competition package and has full PPF giving it a matte Nardo grey look. Prior vehicles were 2016 Z06 with Z07 package and 2019 CTSV with carbon package. I love the comfort, but as you can imagine it’s very slow. I’m putting together my first round of upgrades which will include a JB4 to keep the warranty BC Forged RZ21 wheels with the bronze finish (saves 4lb per wheel) and a more aggressive splitter and spoiler. I’m also considering the 035 transmission mount and delete pipes.
I see threads about people needing new brakes in 15k miles. I didn’t have to do brakes on either of my GM vehicles in 50k miles. I drive pretty reasonably and rarely get into it (retired LE and now I practice in an ER). What high quality rotors/pads would you suggest that will last and hopefully shed some weight? I hear girodisc, 034, and AP Racing. Since my car has the dynamic package it supposedly has better pads. I want to keep 100% performance with no additional noise. I’d add stainless braided lines as well. I’d like 2 piece to save money if I have to replace them again. Anything you would add/change or insight? I’m going to be getting some detailed advice (hopefully) from another member with a blue RS5 build that is incredible and using the same spoiler and wheels I’m getting with regard to coatings and proactive details.

Can we some pics of matte Nardo?? Sounds like you're spot on with the rest of your upgrades.

    +!

Congrats on the new car. Solid wheel choice btw, I'm also planning to go with the RZ21, they look killer.

Sorry you feel it is slow. I don't find it slow at all. I just wish it had more linear power delivery, but I guess that is just what you get when you make power through more boost on a smaller motor. In that way, I feel my wife's S5, while slower still, has a nicer power band.

FYI, a JB4 won't save your warranty if Audi decides to do a deep scan on your car. The higher torque value requests will be stored in various control modules and can be read if Audi chooses to do so in case of a warranty claim.

I haven’t quite figured out how to upload photos yet. I just tried without success. It looks like every other Nardo grey RS5 with Dynamic package, black carbon optics, RS, except that the Nardo grey is matte. I’ll work on it. I’ll probably start a new build thread although I won’t be blazing any new trails lol. I’ve got the Maxton design V3 splitter and Vorteq Carbon M4 style spoiler as well as midpipes and 034 Motorsport transmission insert on the way. I’m hooking up the JB4 when the sun comes up (I work 7pm to 7am). My car came with the Continental Sport Contact 6 tires which I’m reading are shot between 8-12k miles so I’ll be doing tires with the BC Forged wheels. I’m already at 7500 miles although I drive very leisurely 99% of the time. I’ll be going with the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06. I’m reading the stock TPMS don’t work on the BC Forged wheels so I’m trying to figure out what I need to do about that.

there's a lot to unpack here. you say it's too slow but then you also admit you don't drive it hard?
you do realize most people can't push the RS5 to it's potential right? It's fast enough that if you don't track, you probably don't even know how to tap into it's potential.
if you're talking about flooring it and getting pulled in a straight line, it's a heat soak prone heavy german sedan. It's not going to feel like a rocket but it does pull pretty hard.

the benefits of the RS5 is the suspension tuning to make such a heavy ass car handle well plus the twin turbos reducing turbo lab, packaged all together nicely with a ZF8, LSD, and while still being practical.

in terms of shit that can fail, it's the usual B9 shit, water pumps, PCV, oil filter housing, etc...

In all honesty I wanted something that would be good in the very frequent rain and if we take a few trips up north. I’m considering relocating further north where ice will be a problem in winter.

I get it. My last 2 vehicles a 16 ZO6 and 19 CTSV made 650/650 stock. The 2 prior made over 700whp. Even with those 2 I wanted a little more power on the rare occasion that I do open it up. As you can imagine a tune and more boost just make traction more of an issue on a RWD. I’ve had some opportunities to get onto closed areas with friends with quick vehicles and I like to open in up on very rural roads. I had some significant training during my prior LE career. That said I wanted AWD and I really liked the Audi’ appearance, interior, and ability to go from a smooth luxury ride to a much sportier ride. I tend to take very good care of my vehicles and don’t beat on them..
Shortly after buying the Audi I thought that perhaps I made the wrong choice. So I look at some BMW M3 Comps. They just look to boy racer to me and I’m a bigger built guy. At 5’9 and 235 I’m quite a bit larger than the people the M3 was built to suit. It might be much more mod friendly and fast, but it fell far short on the areas where I’ll spend 99% of my time.
I’m thinking that with the few mods I have planned it will make for a very nice looking reasonable quick/fun car.
