My flex couplings are splitting and I need to replace the downpipes. The nuts are so rusted the special ECS tool doesnt even try to grip the nuts.
I have a set of replacement used OEM downpipes so my plan was just to cut the pipe just past the flange and use an angle grinder or a drill to remove the back part of the stud. Then just use an air hammer to drive the bolts out.
Will this work?
