Brake Fluid Level Connector

I know this may seem silly, but, how is the connector going to the brake reservoir cap disconnected?

Don't want to pry and force anything.

Does it release anything like the coils?

It's just a normal connector, no gray or red locking tab. Press it on slightly, press release tab, pull it off.
