    Adaptive suspension tests?

I have a 2013 3.0T Q5 Sline with OE adaptive suspension struts and H&R lowering springs and I can't understand if one of the struts has failed. I don't have any codes in VCDS or warning lights on the dash. The adaptive settings seem to change ok and there is no fluid leaking from the struts but the ride just seems kinda bouncy even on the Dynamic setting. I replaced all of the front control arms about 3 months ago and they all look to be in good condition with no loose fasteners.

Is there a specific way to test these struts with VCDS or a multimeter or just a simple manual way?

The suspension is compressed 1.5" or however much hr lowering springs go, therefore it is naturally bouncy. I ran that setup for a bit and couldn't stand it so switched to kw coils a few years ago and haven't looked back.

Thanks Dave, that makes a lot of sense if the new front control arms have tightened everything up and now the bounce is more prevalent.

I find it surprising there is very little info on this type of strut regarding testing or fault finding.
