    07 A3 timing check and cam chain/tensioner replace-few issues

Hi all, bought my A3 in November last year. It had an intermittent P0016 code that previous owner (euro mechanic) claimed he couldn’t track down, new belt, tensioner, cams, sensors. Still occasionally throws code. He figured it’s electrical but said car runs great so it’s likely a red herring. It runs very good but with some stuttering until it warms up. That’s the backstory. Since then I’ve got VCDS, done a ton of reading including the “and that’s all she wrote” thread. I bought a chain/tensioner kit and figured if the belt is new I only have to verify cam/crank marks at tdc then do the chain side. All good.
Btw my block 93 intake cam phase reading is -9 degrees. No way it’s an electrical issue.

So I dive in and so far my issues are:
2 stripped crank pulley bolts to get the accessory belt pulley off. 6mm hex key bolts. I have some impact reverse bolt removers coming for those. Hope I don’t have to drill them off.
I have the motor mount bolts off but I can’t get the mount out of the area. It’s catching on the lower timing belt cover and since I can’t get that off yet is there another way it can come out? I didn’t remove any cooling lines above since they didn’t seem to be in the way.
And that’s just the side to check timing .
Valve cover will be straightforward. Any tricks with the fuel pump?
What about the vacuum pump. There’s a hose that fits into the side, does that come out?
I have new control rings for the vvt in the cam chain housing, too.
Anyways, I’m reading as much as I can and the work really isn’t that hard just don’t want to eff things up. Any help is always appreciated.
